Darren is located in the southernmost part of Taitung County, Taiwan Province of China, and is an important settlement of the Paiwan aborigines. The township is bordered by the Pacific Ocean in the east and the Central Mountain Range in the west, and is rich in natural ecological resources, including such well-known attractions as the Tusanoyo River and the Alangyi Ancient Trail.
