Cangxi County is located in the northern part of Sichuan Province in China, under Guangyuan City, in the middle reaches of the Jialing River and the southern foothills of the Qinba Mountain Range. It has a total area of about 2,330 square kilometers and a population of about 760,000 people. As an important part of the Sichuan-Shaanxi old revolutionary area, Cangxi carries a deep red cultural heritage.
Cangxi is an important place for the Red Army's Long March, with revolutionary sites such as the "Red Army Ferry". Cangxi is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Snow Pears", with pear blossoms like snow in spring and fragrant golden pears in fall. Specialties such as Cangxi kiwifruit and Chuanming ginseng are famous throughout the country, and the traditional folklore "Lantern Opera" has been listed in the provincial intangible cultural heritage.
The Jialing River passes through the county, and there are such landscapes as Jiulong Mountain Nature Reserve and Pear Culture Expo Park. The typical hilly landscape of the basin has given birth to rich ecological resources, and the county is a national ecological civilization construction demonstration county, with the unique charm of both natural scenery and human history.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
