Located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, Bole City is the capital of Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and the political, economic and cultural center. Located in the northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains, on the southwestern edge of the Junggar Basin, and adjacent to Kazakhstan, the city is uniquely situated as an important node city in the "Belt and Road" initiative.
