Beihu is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China, located in the southeastern part of Hunan Province, and is the political, economic and cultural center of the city. The region is known for its rich natural resources and long history and culture, and boasts several scenic spots, such as Beihu Park and Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot. Beihu's economy, which is dominated by industry, tourism and agriculture, has been developing rapidly in recent years, and the transportation is convenient, with the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and a number of highways running through the area. With a mild climate and four distinct seasons, it is an ideal destination for exploring the culture and natural beauty of southern Hunan.
Šimnas (Širvintos) is a city in eastern Lithuania, about 50 km northwest of the capital Vilnius, and belongs to the administrative center of the Šimnas District. The city is situated on the banks of the river Simna and is surrounded by forests and lakes in a beautiful and peaceful natural environment.
First mentioned in historical documents in 1475, Simnas has a long history of settlement. The city retains traditional Lithuanian architecture, with historical buildings such as the Church of St. Michael the Archangel demonstrating its cultural heritage. Agriculture and forestry are the mainstays of the local economy, while strong folk traditions and handicraft production are maintained.
Several nature reserves and lakes are dotted around Simnas, making it ideal for hiking and nature observation.
