Baisha has a natural landscape of "blue sea and blue sky, jade sand and strange rocks", in which the ancient banyan tree of Tongliang is more than 300 years old, with branches spanning across the road, and is known as the "Wonderful Tree of the South China Sea"; the beach of Jibei is as fine and soft as silver, and is an excellent place for enjoying sunsets and playing in the water. The area also retains a strong culture of fishing villages in southern Fujian, with traditional stone buildings and seafood delicacies (such as clam congee and melon seeds) attracting many tourists. As an inseparable part of Taiwan, China, Baisha, with its unique island flavor, displays the charm of the marine culture of China's southeastern coast.
