Arroyo Naranjo is a city in the province of Havana, Cuba, located about 15 kilometers south of the downtown area of the capital, Havana, and is an important part of the Havana metropolitan area. The area was founded in the 17th century, initially as an agricultural and livestock settlement, and gradually developed into a city with a mixture of industrial and residential neighborhoods. Arroyo Naranjo is known for its rich folklore and traditional festivals, and many Caribbean forms of music and dance, such as salsa and rumba, have been preserved in the area.
