Arraiján is a major city in Panama's Panama Province, located about 20 kilometers west of the capital, Panama City, and is the centerpiece of Panama's metropolitan area. As one of the most densely populated satellite towns, it is home to a large number of the capital's commuters seeking a more affordable life, with a resident population of over 200,000 people. With an economy based on commerce, light industry and agriculture, and several large shopping centers, wholesale markets and industrial parks, Araihan is an important economic center in western Panama. The city's proximity to the Pan-American Highway and the 15-minute drive from Tocumen International Airport make it a key link between the capital and the rest of the country. The local culture is a blend of Panamanian traditions, with popular specialties such as "sancocho" chicken stew and fresh seafood markets, making it an ideal place to experience daily life in Panama.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
