Arba Minch, the capital of the Southern Region of Ethiopia, is located in the southern part of the Rift Valley and is known as the "City of the South". This small city is surrounded by mountains and water, bordered by Lake Abaya in the north and Lake Chamo in the south, forming a unique "gateway to the lakes" between the two lakes, which is an important window for viewing African wildlife. The surrounding Omo National Park is known for its pristine tribal culture and rich biodiversity, attracting tourists from all over the world. As the economic center of the region, Arba Mench is based on agriculture and fisheries, but in recent years, tourism has grown rapidly, making it a must-visit destination for exploring the nature and people of southwestern Ethiopia.
Shangluo City is located in the southeastern part of Shaanxi Province, at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, connecting the provinces of Shaanxi, Hubei and Henan, and is the "backyard" of Xi'an, as well as an important water source for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. It has beautiful mountains and rivers, with a forest coverage of 69.8% and national forest parks such as Jinshi Grand Canyon and Niubei Liang, and is known as "China's Climate Recreation Capital". Historically, Shangluo was the fiefdom of Shang Yang, where Qin and Chu cultures mingled, giving rise to a rich folk culture and non-heritage skills, such as Shangluo flower drums and Zhen'an fishing drums. Agriculture is characterized by walnuts, chestnuts and Chinese herbal medicines (such as Salvia divinorum and Tianma), and eco-tourism and green industries are flourishing, making Shangluo an important ecological barrier in the Qinba Mountainous Region and a pleasant landscape city to live in and visit.
