Aleppo, a historic city in northern Syria, is located in Aleppo province near the Turkish border and was once an important trading hub on the ancient Silk Road. Qingchuan County is located in the northern part of China's Sichuan Province, under Guangyuan Municipality, at the junction of Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi Provinces, with a total area of about 3,271 square kilometers.
