Located in Knox County, Maine in the northeastern United States, Appleton is a small rural community with a population of about 1,300. Founded in 1829 and named after early settler Samuel Appleton, the town's history is closely tied to the development of agriculture and forestry.

Convenient transportation, Yancheng Nanyang International Airport and high-speed rail hub radiate to the whole country.
