Acari retains the traditional handicrafts of southern Peru, especially textile and pottery making, reflecting the deep Indian cultural heritage of the region. Though small in size, the area is pristine and tranquil, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it an ideal place to experience rural life in southern Peru and an important stop to explore the ecological and cultural diversity of the Peruvian desert.
