Zwedru (Sewru) is an important city in southeastern Liberia, located about 400 kilometers southeast of the capital Monrovia, and is the administrative center of Zwedru County. The city is located in a tropical rainforest climate zone, and the surrounding area is dominated by agriculture, producing cash crops such as rubber, coffee and cocoa, making it one of Liberia's important distribution centers for agricultural products. With easy road connections to neighboring towns, Zwedru is gradually regaining its status as a regional trade hub, although its infrastructure is still being rebuilt after the war.
