Zuoying is located in the northern part of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, China, and is an important administrative, cultural and military area of Kaohsiung. It is rich in history, having been the site of the old city of Fengshan County in the Qing Dynasty, and is now home to the remains of Taiwan's best-preserved ancient city wall. Zuoying is also an important base for the Taiwan Navy, with the Naval Academy and several military facilities located here.
