Zlitan is an important port city on the Mediterranean coast of northwestern Libya, about 160 kilometers east of the capital city of Tripoli, under the jurisdiction of the province of Misrata. The city has a long history of Phoenician and Roman settlements, and the old town still retains its traditional Arab architectural style and ancient mosques.
Known for its agriculture and fishing, Zlitan is surrounded by olive groves and orchards and is one of Libya's main olive oil producers. At the same time, as a coastal city, its port serves a regional trade function. In recent years, the University of Zlitan has gradually become a local educational center.
It should be noted that since the unrest in Libya in 2011, the security situation in Zlitan and the surrounding areas is complicated, so be sure to pay attention to the official security tips before traveling. The city is still predominantly populated by local residents and tourism has not yet fully recovered.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
