Zigui County is located in the west of China's Hubei Province, belonging to the city of Yichang, located in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River on the banks of the Xiling Gorge, is the hometown of Qu Yuan and the Three Gorges Reservoir District, an important county and city. Zigui is the hometown of the great poet Qu Yuan, and organizes the International Dragon Boat Festival and Qu Yuan Cultural Tourism Festival every year. It is also the hometown of Chinese navel oranges, producing zigui navel oranges, with agriculture and cultural tourism as the economic pillars. After the construction of the Three Gorges Dam, Zigui became a key area for resettlement of immigrants in the reservoir area, and the new county town was built along the river with modern facilities.
