Zichuan District is located in the central part of Shandong Province, China, under Zibo City, in the hinterland of central Shandong, with a total area of 960 square kilometers and a population of about 600,000 people. As a neighboring area of Linzi, the former capital of Qi, Zichuan has a history of more than 2,500 years and is an important part of the birthplace of Qi culture.
Zichuan is the hometown of Pu Songling, a literary figure in the Qing Dynasty, whose masterpiece "Liaozhai Zhiyi" was written here. The existing Pu Songling's former residence is a national key cultural relics protection unit and receives more than 300,000 visitors annually. There are also historical relics in the area, such as the ruins of the Qi Great Wall and the ancient porcelain kiln site in Magucun.
As a national important building materials production base, Zichuan built China (Zibo) ceramic industry headquarters base, ceramic annual output value of more than 20 billion yuan. Meanwhile, it develops equipment manufacturing, new materials and other industries, with one provincial economic development zone and 87 high-tech enterprises (2022 data).
Zichuan is 80 kilometers away from Jinan Yuanwang Airport, with Jiaoji Railway and Qingyin Expressway passing through the city. In addition to humanistic landscapes, it also has natural landscapes such as Tanxi Mountain Tourist Resort (National AAAA Scenic Spot) and Qishan Scenic Spot, and its annual comprehensive tourism income exceeds 4 billion yuan.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
