Zhongning County is located in the central part of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, in the alluvial plain of the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and is the "hometown of Chinese wolfberry" and "hometown of Chinese selenium melon". Relying on the advantages of Yellow River irrigation, the history of wolfberry cultivation is more than 600 years, and the produced Zhongning wolfberry is full of grains, red color, rich in polysaccharide, carotene and other nutrients, and it is a national geographic indications product, and it is exported to more than 30 countries and regions all over the world. In addition to wolfberry, red dates, long dates and other specialty agricultural products are also renowned in the northwest. As an important post on the ancient Silk Road, Zhongning integrates the Yellow River culture and border customs, and has humanistic and natural landscapes such as the Yellow River Grand Canyon and Shikong Temple.
