Located in the center of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China, the Bell Tower is a landmark, historical and cultural symbol of Changzhou. Originally built during the Southern Dynasties, the existing structure was rebuilt in the late Qing Dynasty. The 48-meter-high, seven-story octagonal brick structure combines traditional Chinese architectural techniques with local characteristics.
The Bell Tower is surrounded by Changzhou's busiest commercial district, adjacent to the South Street shopping area and the Qingguo Xiang historical and cultural district, where modern commercial vitality meets millennia-old charm. The tower offers a panoramic view of the city of Changzhou, and the nighttime light show has become a popular sight. As an important carrier of Changzhou's cultural lineage, the Bell Tower has witnessed the city's transformation from the ancient canal era to a modern manufacturing city, and has now become a core attraction for showcasing Changzhou's history, tourism and city image.
