Zhan Yi District, belonging to Qujing City, Yunnan Province, China, is located in the eastern part of Yunnan Province, and is the origin of the Pearl River, known as "the first county at the source of the Pearl River". With a total area of 2,910 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000, the district is located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an average altitude of about 2,000 meters and a mild and humid climate.
Zhan Yi is rich in natural and humanistic landscapes, with core attractions including the Pearl River Source Scenic Area, the Haifeng Wetland Nature Reserve, and a cluster of tiankengs. It is also a multi-ethnic settlement, where the cultures of Yi, Hui and other minorities mingle to form unique folk customs. With convenient transportation, Zhan Yi is an important node of the city cluster in central Yunnan, with several transportation arteries, such as the Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway and Hangrui Expressway, running through the whole territory.
The economy is dominated by agriculture, tourism and energy industries, producing crops such as baked tobacco and marigolds, while actively developing eco-tourism based on the Pearl River Source brand. Zhan Yi has a long history, was once the ancient Yelang State and the important channel of the Southwest Silk Road, retaining a large number of historical sites and cultural legends.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
