Zhangqiu is located in the eastern part of Jinan City, Shandong Province, China, and is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jinan City. It has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of the Longshan culture, famous for the exquisite black pottery unearthed. Zhangqiu is rich in natural resources, especially known for spring water, Baotu and Jinan Baotu Baotu group, enjoy the "small spring city" reputation.
Zhangqiu onion as a national geographic indications products known throughout the country, onion white sweet and crispy, is an important ingredient of the Lu cuisine.
