Zell am Ziller is a charming town in the Austrian state of Tyrol, located in the heart of the picturesque Zillertal valley. Nestled in the Alpine hinterland, at an altitude of about 575 meters above sea level, and surrounded by magnificent peaks and lush green meadows, it is a renowned vacation and outdoor sports destination.
Zell is situated on the banks of the river Ziller and has a typical Alpine climate with cool summers and cold, snowy winters. This makes it an ideal destination for skiing, hiking and mountain biking, and attracts a large number of tourists every year to experience the four seasons.
The town retains a strong Tyrolean tradition and is known for its timber-framed buildings, local music and folk festivals.
