Zeku County is located in the southeastern part of China's Qinghai Province, under the Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, on the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, with an average elevation of about 3,700 meters above sea level. With a predominantly alpine grassland climate, the region is one of the important pastoral counties in Qinghai, rich in livestock and ecological resources.
