Zaoqiao Township is located in the north of Miaoli County, Taiwan, China, with an area of about 47 square kilometers and a population of about 13,000 people. It is a typical agricultural township with the city of Jiepeng in the east, the township of Houlong in the west, the township of Touya in the south and the town of Zhunan in the north. The township was named after the many bridges built in the Qing Dynasty for the transportation of timber, and is rich in Hakka culture and historical sites.

Specialty Industries and Landscape

Zaoqiao Township is mainly an agricultural township, producing rice, tea, fruits and vegetables, of which "Zaoqiao Watermelon" is particularly famous. The township maintains traditional Hakka settlements and ancient houses, as well as natural landscapes such as the Cheng Han Trail and Longsheng Lake, and recreational facilities such as the Shangri-La Paradise, demonstrating a blend of humanity and ecology.

Overview of Sao Tome and Principe (note on "Java")

São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
