Yulin, located in the southeastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, adjacent to Guangdong, is the center city of the southeast region of Gui, enjoying the reputation of "Lingnan Jade, Scenery as Forest" since ancient times. As an important hub connecting Southwest China and South China, Yulin is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Southern China and the "Pharmaceutical Capital of Southern China", with a long history of cultivation and processing of Chinese herbal medicines, and a leading market of Chinese herbal medicines in the country. Meanwhile, Yulin is the "Hometown of Chinese Gui Yuan" and "Southern China Machinery Manufacturing City", with agriculture featuring rice, lychee and longan, and industry covering machinery, ceramics, cement and other industries, forming a diversified economic pattern of development.
The city is rich in culture, with Hakka and Lingnan cultures blending together, and boasts attractions such as the Zhenwu Pavilion in Rongxian County and the Da Rongshan National Forest Park, as well as specialties such as Yulin Beef Brisket Vermicelli and Luchuan White Cut Pork, making it a pleasant city to live in that combines both natural scenery and humanistic charms.
Šimnas (Širvintos) is a city in eastern Lithuania, about 50 km northwest of the capital Vilnius, and belongs to the administrative center of the Šimnas District. The city is situated on the banks of the river Simna and is surrounded by forests and lakes in a beautiful and peaceful natural environment.
First mentioned in historical documents in 1475, Simnas has a long history of settlement. The city retains traditional Lithuanian architecture, with historical buildings such as the Church of St. Michael the Archangel demonstrating its cultural heritage. Agriculture and forestry are the mainstays of the local economy, while strong folk traditions and handicraft production are maintained.
Several nature reserves and lakes are dotted around Simnas, making it ideal for hiking and nature observation.
