Simikot, Nepal: a border town deep in the Himalaya

Simikot, the capital of Humla District in Nepal's Far Western Province, is situated at a high altitude of about 2,900 meters above sea level in the western section of the Himalayas and is an important gateway to the traditional trade routes between Nepal and Pran District of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
