Located in the southwestern part of Yilan County, Taiwan Province of China, the township is situated in the transition zone between the Lanyang Plain and the Central Mountain Range, with the terrain dominated by plains and hills, and the climate is mild and humid, which makes the township known as the "Breadbasket of Yilan".
