Located in the eastern part of Hunan Province and under the jurisdiction of Zhuzhou City, You County is at the intersection of Zhuzhou-Tan City Cluster and Xiangdong Economic Circle, and has been the gateway to Xiangdong since ancient times. Anciently known as Meicheng, the county has a history of more than 2,200 years and is one of the important birthplaces of Hunan-Chu culture. The Jiu Bujiang Scenic Area in the county integrates mountains, water, caves and reservoirs, and is a national water conservancy scenic area, enjoying the reputation of "small Guilin in east Hunan".
