Yongxiu County, belonging to Jiujiang City of Jiangxi Province, is located at the confluence of Ganjiang River and Xiushui River, and on the southwestern shore of Poyang Lake, which has been called "Gateway of Poyang Lake" since ancient times. Yongxiu is situated in Yunjushan National Forest Park, where the mountains are stacked with verdure, and the Zhenru Temple, a thousand-year old temple, is in Zen mood; bordering on the wetland of Poyang Lake, it is an important station for the migration of global migratory birds, and hundreds of thousands of rare birds overwinter here every year, which constitutes a magnificent landscape of "covering up the clouds and the moon when flying, and not seeing the grass by the lake when falling". Yongxiu has a profound cultural heritage, it is the birthplace of "Yimen Chen", Tao Yuanming, Su Shi and other literati have left their footprints; the specialty "Wucheng Quinoa" and "Yongxiu Duck" have unique flavors. Relying on the ecological advantages of Poyang Lake, this place is being built into a livable and swimmable place integrating eco-tourism, cultural experience and green agriculture, and it is an excellent place to feel the flavor of Gan Poyang and get close to nature.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
