Yongning is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, located in the southeast of Nanning City, in the Yong River basin, with a total area of about 1,255 square kilometers. As the "backyard" of Nanning, Yongning combines the cultural heritage of the Zhuang people with modernization and development, and possesses unique natural landscapes and human heritage.
The terrain of Yongning is dominated by hills and plains, and the climate is subtropical monsoon, which is suitable for agricultural development, producing rice, sugar cane and tropical fruits. The Yong River runs through the whole area, providing abundant water resources and ecological security. Natural scenic spots in the region, such as the Bashi River and Qinglong Lake, attract many tourists.
Yongning is one of the important birthplaces of Zhuang culture, preserving intangible cultural heritages such as the Loud and Clear Song and the Tea Picking Opera. The economy is dominated by agriculture, manufacturing and tourism. In recent years, relying on the overall planning of Nanning, it has been actively developing modern logistics and eco-tourism industries with remarkable potential.
Yongning is conveniently connected to the main city of Nanning and neighboring cities by highways and railroads. Local specialties include such delicacies as Yongning Raw Squeezed Rice Vermicelli and Five-color Glutinous Rice, as well as historical and cultural attractions such as the Pumiao Ancient Town and the Top Snail Mountain Ruins, making it an important window for exploring Guangxi's Beibu Gulf Economic Zone.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
