Yongjing County is located in the central part of Gansu Province and the northern part of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in China, which is in the transition zone between Loess Plateau and Tibetan Plateau, and the Yellow River passes through the county, which is famous for its water and scenery. There are the Bingling Temple Grottoes, a World Heritage Site, and the thousand-year-old grottoes built in the Western Qin Dynasty, with 216 existing niches and more than 800 statues, which are the treasures of the "Grotto Art Corridor". The Liujiaxia Reservoir, an important water conservancy hub on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, is located here, where the high gorges and flat lakes contrast with the Danxia landforms, forming the unique landscape of "high gorges and flat lakes, blue water and mountains".
