Overview of Yongji City

Located in the southwestern part of Shanxi Province, China, Yongji City is under the jurisdiction of Yuncheng City and is situated at the junction of Jin, Shaanxi and Henan Provinces, adjacent to the Yellow River, with a total area of 1,221 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000 people. History and Culture

Yongji is famous for the poem "Ascending the Stork Tower" written by Wang Zhilu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Within its territory, there are national cultural relics protection units such as the Pu Rescue Temple, the Stork Tower, and the Yellow River Kaiyuan Great Iron Bull. Pusu Temple is the place where the love story of "The Story of the Western Chamber" takes place, attracting many tourists to visit.
