Yonghe County is part of Linfen City, Shanxi Province, China, located at the southern foot of the Lvliang Mountain Range in western Jin, on the east bank of the Yellow River, adjacent to Shaanxi Province. The county is dominated by the hilly landscape of the Loess Plateau, with a temperate continental climate and four distinct seasons. With a long history, it is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and there are cultural landmarks such as Qiankunwan and Yonghe Memorial Hall of the Red Army's Eastern March in its territory. Agriculture is characterized by jujube and small grain cultivation, known as "the hometown of Chinese jujube". In recent years, it has been actively developing eco-tourism and red tourism, and its economy is based on agriculture, gradually promoting industrial diversification.
Yonghe County has the unique natural wonders of Qiankun Bay of the Yellow River, which is listed in the "Ten Scenic Spots of the Yellow River". As an old revolutionary area, it has preserved red cultural sites such as the former site of the Red Army's East March Command. The area retains rich folk traditions, such as paper-cutting, rice-planting songs and other intangible cultural heritages. The ecological environment continues to improve, and the unique ecological landscape of the Loess Plateau has been formed through the project of returning farmland to forest.
Yonghe County's economy is dominated by agriculture, and the jujube industry has become a pillar industry, as well as the development of small grain cultivation and animal husbandry. In recent years, Yonghe County has continued to promote tourism development, create "Qiankunwan" tourism brand, supporting the development of agricultural products processing and e-commerce industry. Transportation conditions continue to improve, through the highway network and Linfen, Taiyuan and other cities connected to the regional economic development to inject new momentum.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
