Yongde County is located in the southwestern part of China's Yunnan Province, under Lincang City, and is situated in the southern extension of the Hengduan Mountains, with a total area of 3,296 square kilometers. The county borders Myanmar and is one of the important gateways from Yunnan to South and Southeast Asia. More than 20 ethnic groups, including Han, Yi and Wa, live in the territory, and minority cultures are rich and colorful.
Yongde has a subtropical low-latitude mountain monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of 17.4℃. The terrain is mainly mountainous, with the highest elevation of 3504 meters and the lowest elevation of 540 meters. There are rivers such as Mengdi River and Saimi River in the territory, and the forest coverage rate is more than 60%. It is rich in tea, walnuts, sugarcane and other cash crops, and is one of the important Pu'er tea producing areas in Yunnan.
Yongde has natural landscapes such as the geological wonders of Tulin and the Yongde Daxue Mountain National Nature Reserve, as well as ethnic cultural heritages such as the Yi Torch Festival and the Wa Wooden Drum Dance. The local specialties Yongde Mango and Macadamia Nut enjoy great reputation, and the annual Mango Cultural Festival attracts many tourists to experience.
Located in the northern part of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, Dabi Township is a typical agricultural township, famous throughout Taiwan for its production of rice, sauerkraut and pickles. The terrain of the township is flat, with a total area of about 44.9973 square kilometers and a population of about 18,000 people. Dabi Township is known as the "hometown of sauerkraut," and its production of sauerkraut accounts for more than 80% of all sauerkraut produced in Taiwan. The annual Sauerkraut Culture Festival has become a local specialty.
Dabi Township is rich in traditional culture, with temples such as the Sanshan King's Temple and the Hall of the North Pole in full bloom. The township has a number of well-preserved large ponds (Bei Tongs), such as Dabi Tong and Shangyi Bei, which serve both irrigation and ecological functions. These water landscapes and rural scenery form a unique rural landscape, attracting many tourists to experience the local flavor and taste local agricultural products.
