Yizheng is located in the west-central part of Jiangsu Province, China. It is a county-level city under the administration of Yangzhou Municipality and is situated in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta. As a member of the Nanjing Metropolitan Area, Yizheng is bordered by the Yangtze River in the south, Yangzhou in the east and Nanjing in the west, and enjoys an excellent geographical location and convenient transportation network.
Yizheng, known as "Zhenzhou" in ancient times, is an ancient city with a history of more than 2,500 years, and was once an important shipping center and salt transportation hub in China during the Song Dynasty. In modern Yizheng, the automobile industry, chemical industry and tourism industry are the pillars of the economy, and the SAIC-Volkswagen Yizheng Plant is an important automobile production base in East China. Yizheng Green Yang Spring Tea, a local specialty, enjoys a good reputation.
The city is surrounded by the ecological landscape belt of the Yangtze River, and boasts famous attractions such as the Zhanshan Geological Park and the Tianning Pagoda. The annual "China Yizheng Paeoniae Festival" has become an important tourism festival in the Yangtze River Delta region. The Hongshan Sports Park and Yangzi River Park show the development of modern leisure tourism in Yizheng.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing. Despite infrastructural challenges, Diffa remains an important economic and cultural node in the south-east of the Niger, thanks to its strategic location and rich cultural heritage.
