Yingtan is located in the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province, the gateway to the eastern part of Gan, and is a nodal city connecting the Yangtze River Delta and the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait. The city, named after "Yingtan Tan", is famous for its Taoist culture and copper industry.
