Xingjing County is located in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, China, on the western edge of the Sichuan Basin, with a total area of about 1,781 square kilometers. As an important node of the ancient Southern Silk Road, its history can be traced back to the establishment of the county during the Qin Dynasty, with a history of more than 2,300 years of establishment.
Mountains account for more than 90% of the total area of the county, with an average annual temperature of 15.4℃ and a forest coverage rate of over 80%, making it an important part of the Giant Panda National Park. There are natural landscapes such as Longcanggou National Forest Park and NiuBei Mountain 360-degree viewing platform, and rare plants such as dove trees and azaleas are widely distributed.
Xingjing is known as the "township of black sand", and the non-heritage art of Xingjing sandwares has been passed down for more than 2,000 years. The main industries include green organic agriculture (bamboo shoots, asparagus), new material processing and eco-tourism, with a GDP of 7.92 billion yuan in 2022. Cultural sites such as the traditional Yandao Ancient City and Yunfeng Temple form a characteristic development pattern with modern industries.
