Yaohai District is a municipal district of Hefei City, Anhui Province, located in the east of Hefei City, is an important part of the central city of Hefei, known as the "East Gate of Hefei". With a total area of about 247 square kilometers and a resident population of over one million, it is one of the most populous and economically powerful districts in Hefei. As the birthplace of Hefei's industrial civilization, Yaohai was once the pillar of manufacturing and chemical industry, but in recent years, it has been actively transforming itself to focus on high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, modern logistics and other emerging industries to create a new center of eastern Hefei. It has significant advantages in transportation location, close to Hefei Xinqiao International Airport, with Hehang High-speed Railway and Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway passing through the district, and Metro Line 2 and Line 3 passing through the north and south, forming a three-dimensional transportation network.
