Yanji, located in the eastern part of Jilin Province, is the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, located at the junction of China, North Korea and Russia, and is known as the "Pearl of Northeast Asia". The city is famous for its rich Korean flavor, with more than 50% of the total Korean population and well-preserved traditional folklore, songs, dances and costumes. Strolling through the streets, the Korean signboards are contrasted with Chinese ones, and the aroma of specialties such as Yanji Cold Noodles, Stone Pot Bibimbap, Korean barbecue, and rice wine attracts countless diners to the city. As an important gathering place of Korean culture in China, Yanji has attractions such as the Chinese Korean Folk Garden, which organizes the Korean Folk Fair every year to showcase traditional arts such as the Nongle Dance and the Long Drum. At the same time, it is also an important trading hub in Northeast Asia, and convenient transportation puts surrounding scenic spots such as Changbai Mountain and the Tumen River within easy reach, making it an excellent destination for experiencing Korean culture and savoring authentic flavors.
Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, is located on the country's central plateau at an altitude of about 2,350 meters and has a pleasant climate that has been described as the "Italy of Africa". The city is a blend of Italian colonial architecture and local culture, with a large number of well-preserved modernist buildings, including futuristic churches, Art Deco theaters, and colorful homes. An example of early 20th century urban planning, its historic center was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. Asmara is not only a political and economic hub, but is also known for its unique cultural scene and laid-back pace of life, and is a window to explore Eritrea's history and diverse civilizations.
