Located in the northern part of China's Shaanxi Province in the hinterland of the Loess Plateau, Yan'an is a national-level historical and cultural city and a holy place of revolution. As an important symbol of China's modern revolution, Yan'an is known as the "Cradle of the Chinese Revolution" with many revolutionary sites such as Yangjialing and Zaoyuan. The Tang Dynasty Pagoda on Baota Mountain, a city landmark, has become a spiritual symbol of Yan'an.
In addition to the red culture, Yan'an also contains the profound humanistic heritage of the Loess Plateau, with unique intangible cultural heritages such as Ansai Waist Drums and Shaanbei Folk Songs. The surrounding natural landscape is magnificent, with attractions such as the Yellow River Hukou Falls and the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor attracting a large number of tourists. Local specialties such as Yan'an Rolled Noodle Skin and Oil Cake are also quite famous.
Nowadays, Yan'an is actively promoting the integration and development of revolutionary culture and tourism industry, which is both a patriotic education base and an ideal destination to experience the flavor of northern Shaanxi, attracting millions of tourists from home and abroad every year.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
