Xuyong County is located in the southeastern part of China's Sichuan Province, under Luzhou City, at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, a mountainous county in the transition from the Sichuan Basin to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It has a total area of 2,977 square kilometers and a population of about 700,000 people. Xuyong is characterized by Miao, Yi and other minority cultures, and has rich natural landscapes and human history, such as Danshan Scenic Area and Chunqiu Ancestral Temple.
