Xupu County is located in the western part of Hunan Province in China, belonging to Huaihua City, and is situated at the intersection of Xuefeng Mountain Range and Wuling Mountain Range, and in the middle reaches of Yuan River. It has a total area of about 3,440 square kilometers and a population of about 900,000 people. As a thousand-year-old county with a long history, Xupu is one of the important birthplaces of Qu Yuan's culture, which is mentioned many times in "Chu Rhetoric - Nine Chapters".
Xupu is famous for its agricultural and ecological resources, producing citrus, rice and Chinese herbs. There are natural landscapes such as Simeng National Wetland Park and Huayao Terraces at the back of the mountain, while retaining the unique folk culture of the Huayao people. In terms of transportation, the Xiangqian Railway, Hukun High Speed Railway and many expressways run through the whole territory, connecting Changsha, Huaihua and other cities.
The county focuses on the development of ecotourism and specialty agriculture, with the Qu Yuan Cultural Festival and the Terrace Culture and Tourism Festival being important annual events. The economy is based on agriculture, and in recent years it has been actively promoting the processing of agricultural products and the rural tourism industry, making it a potential ecological economic county in western Hunan.
Located in the northern part of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, Dabi Township is a typical agricultural township, famous throughout Taiwan for its production of rice, sauerkraut and pickles. Dabi Township is known as the "hometown of sauerkraut," and its production of sauerkraut accounts for more than 80% of all sauerkraut produced in Taiwan. The annual Sauerkraut Culture Festival has become a local specialty.
Dabi Township is rich in traditional culture, with temples such as the Sanshan King's Temple and the Hall of the North Pole in full bloom. The township has a number of well-preserved large ponds (Bei Tongs), such as Dabi Tong and Shangyi Bei, which serve both irrigation and ecological functions. These water landscapes and rural scenery form a unique rural landscape, attracting many tourists to experience the local flavor and taste local agricultural products.
