Xixiu District is located in the central and western part of Guizhou Province, the main urban area of Anshun City, known as "the hinterland of Qianzhong and the throat of Yunnan-Guizhou", situated on the eastern slope of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with a humid subtropical monsoon climate, no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer. Here is one of the important birthplaces of the ancient Yelang culture, with a profound Tunbao culture - the descendants of the Ming Tuen army here to retain a unique stone building, ground play (Nuo opera) and dialect customs, Yunshan Tun, Benzhai ancient village and other national key cultural heritage units witnessed the vicissitudes of history for six hundred years. Natural scenery, Xixiu karst landscape wonders and idyllic scenery intertwined, adjacent to Huangguoshu Waterfalls, Dragon Palace and other world-class scenic spots, is the core node of Qianzhong Tourism Loop. In recent years, relying on the location advantage of Qianzhong Economic Zone, Xixiu is being revitalized in the new era with the synergistic development of cultural tourism, special agriculture (such as Anshun yam and golden prickly pear) and equipment manufacturing industries.
