Xiping County is located in the south-central part of Henan Province, China, belonging to Zhumadian City and situated in the Yellow-Huai Plain, with a total area of about 1,089 square kilometers. It is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and has a deep historical heritage of Rayon culture and iron smelting culture.
Xiping is the hometown of the Yellow Emperor's first concubine, Rayon, and is known as the "Hometown of China's Rayon Culture", with the Rayon Festival held every year. The Korean Iron Smelting Ruins (a national cultural heritage unit) from the Warring States period witnesses the achievements of ancient Chinese metallurgy.
