Located in the central part of Shandong Province, China, Xintai is a county-level city with a long history and is part of Tai'an City. Located in the hinterland of central Shandong, it has a total area of about 1,936 square kilometers and a population of over 1.3 million. Famous for its coal resources, Xintai is an important energy base in Shandong and has a well-developed industrial economy, as well as a steadily growing agricultural and tourism industry.
The city has a rich cultural heritage, with many historical sites, such as the "Old City of Qiguo" from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Yuncui Mountain Scenic Area. The city is conveniently located with the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and the Magnetic Lai Railway running through the city, and Jinan Airport is about 2 hours away by car. Xintai was once honored as one of the "Top 100 Counties in China", and its economy is based on manufacturing, new energy and modern agriculture, making it one of the cities in Shandong Province with potential for development.
