Xinshi is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, administered by Baoding City, and located in the core area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan area. Located in the northern part of the North China Plain, it is about 120 kilometers away from Beijing and 150 kilometers away from Tianjin, which gives it a significant geographical location advantage. The city has a total area of about 700 square kilometers and a resident population of about 500,000 people.
Xinshi has a long history, with settlements formed as early as the Warring States period. There are cultural sites such as the ancient city wall of the Ming Dynasty and the Temple of Literature of the Qing Dynasty. The modern economy, with equipment manufacturing, new materials and food processing as the leading industries, is an important manufacturing base in North China. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway run through the whole area, and the transportation network is well developed.
The local area is rich in high-quality wheat and duck pear, and is a national commodity grain base. In recent years, it has focused on the development of new energy and modern logistics industries, planned to build a provincial-level economic and technological development zone, actively undertake the transfer of industries from Beijing and Tianjin, and is committed to building a model area for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
