Xinshi is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, administered by Baoding City, and located in the core area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan area. Located in the northern part of the North China Plain, it is about 120 kilometers away from Beijing and 150 kilometers away from Tianjin, which gives it a significant geographical location advantage. The city has a total area of about 700 square kilometers and a resident population of about 500,000 people.
Xinshi has a long history, with settlements formed as early as the Warring States period. There are cultural sites such as the ancient city wall of the Ming Dynasty and the Temple of Literature of the Qing Dynasty.
