Xinshi is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, administered by Baoding City, and located in the core area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan area. Located in the northern part of the North China Plain, it is about 120 kilometers away from Beijing and 150 kilometers away from Tianjin, which gives it a significant geographical location advantage. The city has a total area of about 700 square kilometers and a resident population of about 500,000 people.
Xinshi has a long history, with settlements formed as early as the Warring States period. There are cultural sites such as the ancient city wall of the Ming Dynasty and the Temple of Literature of the Qing Dynasty. The modern economy, with equipment manufacturing, new materials and food processing as the leading industries, is an important manufacturing base in North China. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway run through the whole area, and the transportation network is well developed.
The local area is rich in high-quality wheat and duck pear, and is a national commodity grain base. In recent years, it has focused on the development of new energy and modern logistics industries, planned to build a provincial-level economic and technological development zone, actively undertake the transfer of industries from Beijing and Tianjin, and is committed to building a model area for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
