Xinjian is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, located in East China, on the southwestern shore of Poyang Lake. As an important part of Nanchang City, Xinjian District has a long history, having been founded in the Western Han Dynasty, with a history of more than 2,200 years of establishment. With a total area of about 2,190 square kilometers and a population of about 700,000 (2020 data), the area is predominantly Han Chinese, with a dialect of Gan.
