Located in the south-central part of Hebei Province, China, Xinji is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province and is administered by the city of Shijiazhuang. It is located in the North China Plain, with an excellent geographical location and convenient transportation, about 65 kilometers from the provincial capital of Shijiazhuang. Xinji has a long history dating back to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, and was once an important trading and military town in ancient times. The city is famous for its leather industry and is known as the "Leather Capital of China", exporting leather products to many countries around the world. In addition, Xinji is also known for its agriculture, and is the famous "Hometown of Duck Pear", producing high quality fruits.
