Xiluo Township is located in the northern part of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, and is an important agricultural town on the south bank of Turbid Water Creek. The town is famous for its specialty agricultural products, especially Xiluo rice, soy sauce and watermelon. Xiluo Yanping Old Street, which was built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, retains its baroque historical buildings and displays strong architectural characteristics of the Japanese colonial period. The landmark Xiluo Bridge (Hongqiao) is 1,939 meters long and was once the longest highway bridge in Taiwan, connecting the major north-south transportation routes.
